1&1 Linux Servers

By default, CentOS 5 with Plesk 9 (64-bit) will be installed on your Linux server.

With 1&1 Linux servers you have full root access to modify your server as you see fit. You can establish a remote connection using the Secure Shell (SSH) protocol with any SSH client of your choice, such as PuTTY or OpenSSH.

1&1 Windows Servers

By default, Microsoft Windows Web Server 2008® (64-bit) without Plesk will be installed on your Windows server.

Remote Administrator access to your server can be gained through the use of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Software.
