Your 1&1 Exchange server divides your company information into 4 designated folders for easy access by all team members.
A Team Effort
Group functionality tools make Exchange the ideal tool for sharing documents, tasks, and contact information. Using these convenient public folders, employees working remotely will always have access to the same information as on-site employees:
- Calendar
Public calendar folders are a great place to store company events, product launch schedules, group meetings and more. - Contacts
Consolidate all of your contacts in one place with a public contacts folder. Make notes to your Outlook contacts so all your team members can be kept updated. - Tasks
Track and manage all tasks in your working environment in one centralized location. Task status as well as start and end dates can be defined. Plus, tasks can be assigned to different members within a team. - Public Documents Folder
Store any document in Excel or Word format, so everyone on your team will be kept up-to-date automatically.
Please note:
- Public folders have a total capacity of 50 MB.
- The 1&1 Exchange environment is only compatible with Windows XP with Service Pack 1 and Hotfixes installed.
- You cannot use Windows 2000 or NT to connect to the Exchange server using RPC over HTTP. You can, however, use POP3, IMAP, or Outlook Web Access (OWA).
- Only the original author of a document, task, contact, or calendar entry can modify it or set permissions for access.
