Exchange accounts key features

 

Your Microsoft Exchange Hosting plan from 1&1 includes one account, for one user. If you require more accounts for your whole team to collaborate easily and efficiently, it is necessary for all users to operate under the same Exchange server. Simply log in to your Exchange account through the 1&1 Control Panel and add additional accounts for just $6.99/month.

Outlook® Web Access

When you don’t have access to Microsoft Outlook®, you can easily access your mailbox via any web browser. Outlook Web Access is a near-duplicate of the Outlook 2003 desktop client and even provides many of the productivity features you rely on, such as spell check, task lists, search folders, rules, block/accept sender lists, auto-logoff and more.

Employees working remotely will always have access to the same information as on-site employees. Check your e-mail, calendar, and contacts from your home computer, notebook or any internet café around the world.

Outlook Web Access also lets you maintain all of your contact information within your address book in one central location. The address book is easily accessible at any time and from anywhere.

Group Functionality

Collaborate with other team members via public folders and easily collect, organize and share information. Share files or post information to an electronic bulletin board. Public Folders are also an ideal way to store items such as calendars and contacts that are shared by two or more people.

  • Calendar
    Public calendar folders are a great place to broadcast company events, post schedules for product launches, announce group meetings and more.

  • Documents
    Your public documents folder can hold any type of document, in Excel or Word format, for example, so everyone on your team will be updated automatically.

  • Discussions
    A discussion folder is a great place to share new ideas, and get everyone's input. Creating a new posting to the whole group is as simple as starting a new e-mail. You can post a new topic, or reply to an existing topic.

  • Task management
    Track and manage all tasks in your working environment in one centralized location. Task status as well as start and end dates can be defined. Plus, tasks can be assigned to different members within a team.

Tip: Although these group functions are ideal for increasing team productivity and communication, they are also excellent information management tools for individual use.

ActiveSync

Have your e-mail, contacts, address book and calendar accessible from anywhere at any time with mobile ActiveSync. While you’re on the road without access to your computer, your integrated Pocket PC, Smartphone or other synchronized mobile device lets you easily connect with your Exchange Account and view all your up-to-date information.
